Start with the constraint

Look for an operational or commercial constraint that leaders already care about: response delay, repeated information retrieval, rework, capacity pressure or a decision that takes too long. A tool-first discussion obscures the real test.

Map the work before the technology

Document the trigger, steps, inputs, exceptions, owner and result. The map should reveal where information is copied, where decisions are repeated and where a person must remain accountable.

Choose a testable first workflow

Prefer a workflow that has a clear owner, enough recurring volume and a measurable baseline. Avoid committing to a broad transformation before a smaller intervention has shown useful evidence.
